Seriously - we need to do this, this guy has an AMAZING shop to work on our cars!!! Any tool you need, plus a two post lift that is big enough for a school bus, and the barbeque that comes out of that place is to die for......
Anyway, you know I'm in for a meet - anyone else????

OK, found the post - where's the details? Where we going? What time? That weekend should be OK. Have a wedding next weekend on the 8th, followed by a reunion the following weekend on the 15th, and I need to go to Yoakum the next weekend - which is the 22nd or the 23rd. So give with the details and I'll try to squeeze this in.

OK, Details: Anytime Sat. morning Oct. 22nd. Take I 10 west from Houston to Seguin. Take the Hwy. 20 North exit. Drive north @ 15 mi. to Fruit Lane. Follow "Rennlist" signs. Go east @ 1/4 mi. on Fruit Lane to "Rolling Thunder" entrance. Bring an appetite.

That's about 60 miles west of Yoakum, so I'll likely kill two birds with one stone and drop in at the ranch then head over your way. Google map doesn't show Hwy 20 intersecting with 10. Is the turn off marked?

I need to clone myself. I have to work that weekend, the Texas Mile is being run in Goliad again, and y'all are getting dirty with cars. Not to mention prime flounder season is right around the corner, and I need to take the boat out and see what Rita did to my favorite spots.

I hear ya Brian - not enough weekends in the year to get everything done (least not ones with less than 100% humidity and 99 degree temps). I really need to do some shreading at the ranch and I've yet to do the 50 hour service on the tractor. Or build the porch... Or paint the HardiPlank... Or finish the dog house... etc etc etc....

Shoot Keith, I've filled 26 bags with debris from Rita, and I'm not even 1/2 finished. And that's just the downed stuff. I've got one big tree to drop, and two others that got topped by the storm. One top broke about 2/3 up, and hung up on another tree. I didn't even notice it for several days. I'd like to keep the tree, but getting up there to get that top down is going to be fun. I've got two more trees with limb damage that need to be cleaned up too.
You've seen my yard. You know I'm not lying when I say I've got some trees to work on. For a suburban yard I got a frickin' woodlot. Had 54 trees on a 1/3+ acre when we bought it. First yard tool I bought was a chainsaw.

OK guys, from Houston take IH 10 to Seguin and take the Hwy 123 exit north. Go @ 1 mi. to Hwy 20. It only goes to the right (or northeast). Go @ 15 mi. to Fruit Lane. Again, you can only turn right on Fruit Lane. You'll see a "Rennlist" direction sign and follow it to "Rolling Thunder" entrance.
From San Marcos @ IH 35 take the Hwy 123 east exit. Go @ 1/4 mi to the Hwy 621 (first red light). Turn left and follow 621 through Staples to Hwy 20 (about 15 miles.) Bear right, cross Little Cottonwood creek and go @ 1/2 mi. south to Fruit lane. Follow "Rennlist" signs to "Rolling Thunder" entrance.

Ahh! Slipped the 'ole 123 in on us did ya?
As of today I plan on being there. Life happens though (just ask Brian). Good Lord willing and the "ocean" don't rise I'll be there.
