Default painted calipers

I just finished painting my calipers. Should I give them a shot of high temp celarcoat to finish. I used VHT spray paint , they turned out nice. Has anyone else used clearcoat on their calipers?

Just leave them painted without the clear. They will be behind the rims anyways. Unless you are looking at them from closer than half a meter, you will not be able to tell the difference with or without the clear coat on them. Especially when the paint ages a bit and the finish dulls a little.

Why did you paint the friction surface of the rotors? Were you too lazy to mask it off?

I clearcoated my calipers and the paint hasn't even had a blemish for over 3 years now on the 928 I should've cleared my 944's calipers, they are chipping. Oh well, respray time

Hehe, don't worry its off now.

And it isn't paint, it's powdercoat. Marashino Dark blue or something. Not too sure. It looks cool in person but doesn't match my blue at all.

Looks good, interesting combo.

Is that a mark on the a-arm where the longish braided brake line rubs it?
