When I turn hard slowly either in reverse or going forward it feels almost like the car is running over blocks of wood. The front wheels dont feel like they are turning on the pavement properly and are almost jumping up and down. I had my struts off and I dont think I got the eccentric bolt lined up properly but I still cant see that causing this problem. Could it be a sign of wonr out ball joints on my control arms? thanks

My guess would be an outer CV joint, not enough grease and the bearings are starting to come out. You could try injecting some grease into the boot and see if it goes away, however if they are that bad they're probably a bit worn down and will need replacement.

There aren't any CV joints on the front, if I recall correctly.
Redlyne_mr2, since it is coming from the front, and you had it apart recently, it could be causally related. Take it in to get an alignment, and ask that they do an inspection on the ball-joints and tie-rods while the car is up on the rack.
Best of luck to you.

Had brake pads pinch and drag. See if they are worn uneven.

When was the last time you changed your timing and balance belts
and/or cam chain and tensioner?

Thanks for the help guys, the bushings that hold the control arm to the chasis are shot. Could that cause the control arm to move around unsecured which is why it feels like IM driving over things?
