WD-40 sucks as a loosener. Use PB Blaster or Kroil, they are 100 times better for that use.

You just made me laugh so hard, my goodness I can feel your pain. My water drains in front of my 986 Boxster were all clogged up with dust, leaves and twigs, so water must of gotten in somehow on passanger side and got my carpet all wet under the seat. I went to remove rear bolts that have a Torx nut on top of bolt, removed rear and had loctite in them. Went to remove the 2 front bolts and still nothing. Don't have a Torx socket to fit but I used a 10mm socket to remove the rear ones. Socket won't work in the front bec they are on so ignorant tight I started to strip the head. For over 24hrs non stop I have propped up the carpet and have a high speed blower fan and it's drying. Still I want that dam seat off!!! Why loctite? Why do Germans make **** so hard and cramped to work on. Bought the car with 61k miles one owner and I'm about to sell it already bec of this stupid crap. I bet the owner traded the car in bec he couldn't figure out how water was getting in. Other than that, car is in great shape.

My recollection is that the bolts have shallow heads. So a regular allen might run into clearance problems. Not certain.
