OH NOES! 951 twins!
I'm going to keep this short for now, as I'm tired and my back hurts. I'd been exchanging emails with CT944 for a week or so about his project 951 for sale (an '86 Black, with Cup wheels and in need of some work). Today, I drove out checked the car out, and bit the bullet and bought it off him. On the way back we had some issues with tire preasure in the trailer tires, and then some heavy crosswinds, but overall everything went ok. I HIGHLY recommened Route 8 from Mass to CT if you want a DAMN fun driving road. It got alittle hairy with a trailer but was still alot of fun, an absolutely gorgeous road, lots of turns, elevation changes, and good scenery. About Syracuse on the way down the thruway we started having One Lap of America cars blow past us going East (we were westbound). Multiple GT3's, GT2's a C6 z06, a bunch of C5 z06s, Vipers and AN ULTIMA GTR!@#!#*@(# : Yeah, really nice cars. Anyway, my back hurts, my wallet hurts, but overall I'm happy. Enough talk, here are the photos ill post some more tomorrow when it's light out.
Didnt even know it was a statie till it was ON TOP of me.
All loaded up.
mmm love dem hips.
GT2
This is what happens when you try and shoot a photo of a speeding ultima GTR while screaming like a school girl.

Sunday was opening day at Watkins Glenn. $15 for 3 "pace" laps on the track. That could be where all those cars were going/coming from.

The best part about trailering your 951 is when you are super tired, and it is the middle of the night, and you are your friend looks in the rear view mirror and says "Dude, there is a porsche behind us." And then you smack him in the face.

Glad to see someone active on the list got that car. I had checked it out a few nights back, and now im looking at another tonight. The search continues...BTW Route 8 is one of my favorite roads in that section of CT. I look for excuses to go drive over there, once you get north of Winsted its all good!
Enjoy the car and keep the list up to date!

The drive home was not fun due to a heavy crosswind, and yeah we had a couple "WHOA CLOSE CAR... err trailer" moments. heh. We're fools like that. Here's a photo of the new nose for 951 #1.
