Thumbs up Camber Plates Group Buy - Guru Racing!

I am holding a group buy for Guru Camber Plates (permission of John D. pending)
Normal price: $375 a set. Group buy price will be $340 a set which is a pretty good deal.
Danno has 8 pairs IN STOCK right now. I will personally drive up to Santa Barbara and pick up all the sets. I will ship out same or next day on all the orders.

FEATURES:
- all-metal construction for maximum performance and durability
- spherical bearing
- works with stock suspension and springs, no coilovers needed
- does not lower or raise car like other camber-plates (flat plates raise the car, other hat designs lower car)
- threaded backing plate design for strong design, and simple adjustments.

I will start accepting orders as soon as I have 5 people who will purchase a set.

I am really curious to know, what exactly are camber plates used for? I just bought a bunch of suspension stuff and was deciding between the Paragon Camber plates and KLA upperstrut mounts a few weeks ago. I decided to go with the KLA units as i dont think i would ever need the adjustability. But what exactly are camber plates good for? Just curious...thanks .

They allow you to adjust camber and, in the case of the paragon units, caster. It's useful if you want camber past the allowable amount with the stock suspension or if you want the ability to go back and forth between stock and a slightly sportier setting.

It allows for the camber of the car to be adjusted easily at the track, where more negative camber is usually desireable.

It looks kind of like they are Kokeln units with the Guru logo etched into them, but the hat dimension looks different. Any particular reason why Danno went with purple as opposed to another color? Just curious...

I think the color is just cause its a Guru staple color. I actually like it, its not a huge part, just a little thing on the side of the engine bay that says, "look at me!" Bseides, if you have a strut brace on it, you won't see much of the color if thats a worry of yours. From the photos the look caster adjustable as well, but I'll confirm with Danno about that.

About caster adjustment: The actual plates allow for caster adjustment, if one was to alter the hole in which the round section fits into. Basically, no they dont change caster unless you do some slight modifications to the car.

Single spherical bearing, no separate thrust face?

It would go nicely with the pink intake manifold on that one 951. Don't call me gay, but that thing is awesome!

more important that the adjustability is the use of a spherical bushing v. the stock rubber one. the solid mount maintains your alignment when a sideload is applied.

Thanks!

I third Sam's question about the bearings. Also, are these serviceable items with off the shelf bearings?
