Raybestos rotor fit issues
Anyone ever use Raybestos rotors? I picked up a set for the rear because they were the same price as online and I could have them right away. Looks like I made a mistake.
So, I spent the entire night on one rear brake. The rotor seems to have a larger inner lip that hits the backing plate and doesn't allow it to sit flush on the hub. Gonna head back to Carquest tomorrow and ask them to machine the lip down or take 'em back.
The part # is BDR34034 and my car is a '83 944 n/a. I expected brakes to be easy. I guess that only applies if you use stock parts.

Thats odd. I was expecting this to be a brake pad fit issue. When putting new rotors and pads on at the same time, the clearance is very very little.
OE parts are nice. I try to get them as often as possible through mailorder.

Pads fit fine even with the rotor on. I ended up returning the rotors because they can't machine the lip down. Now I'll have to wait for new rotors to arrive. At least the old ones are still serviceable.
