Default help: I need seat covers

Ok, Ok, Ok, I hate them too, but my leather is showing some age, and I want to keep them away from any more damage if possible.

Does anyone have a recommendation for covers that are not hideously ugly? My interior is brown.

thanks in advance

I haven't done them yet because my seats are in pretty good shape, but if I was to tear a seat or something of that nature, I would definately reupholster instead of just putting a seat cover on. The Rennbay seat upholstry is waaay worth it, from what I've seen and read about them. Very good deal.

before I replaced my seats, I went to costco and got two sheapskin seatcovers ( front was real sheapskin, back was "mouse-fur".....) think they were like under $50 each and were great as a temp solution.

i've put wet-okole on my turbo when it was new....or whenever they came out. the seats still look brand new, however, the die from the covers leached out onto the white leather in a couple of spots. it's not that noticeable and i'm not sorry i put them on. since i only show the car now, i have taken them off and put them on the old 83 944. those seats are pitiful. so i covered up the ugly.
they are kind of expensive but look good.

Vinyl, yes. Tremendous quality.

I'm using Sofflex right now on my leather seats. Re dyed (Black on the problem spots) on Monday, and sofflex applied. It takes 3-5 days for the leather to absorb this stuff. I'll know on Saturday whether it was worth the money. My leather seats were as supple as corrugated cardboard- lets see how this turns out and I'll post back. This stuff turns rawhide dog treats into kid-glove leather in 5 days.

Albeit it is my personal taste - but I am not a fan of my seats resembling a scuba suit or a redneck's sexual fantasy - if the seats are not repairable with Lexol and surflex then the Rennbay covers are the closest I have ever seen to a new set of O.E.M -

they resemble a scuba suit. you'll have to describe your sexual fantacy, i'm at a loss there. maybe you need a little more sleep or something.

I was referring to the Wet Okole-brand (scuba) and Sheepskin covers (redneck's fantasy) - again, I prefaced my post by stating it was my personal taste -

Jeremy

I live about 10mins from manhattan and am not a redneck....the sheeps were the best looking, least expensive option unti I found replacement seats.....not my taste either for a perm. solution...but they were comfortable enough and better looking than the 'scuba' alternative. I prefer leather...so nothing against rennbay's covers....I am sure they are very well made if Travis sells them....but they're not leather.

If hazlgreen looks around long enough he can find replacement seats for not much more than a good set of covers....I bought my leather power seats for $200.00 from a local guy who advertised here on the list ....
