Adieu for a short while....
Sad day guys (though not as bad as Sergey getting his car stolen).....
Our five weeks of home leave in the States is almost over, and we head back to Singapore for another year of overseas assignment. It was five weeks of pure joy getting Rosa and Fasty to purr like kittens while we teased the curves along the Columbia River in Portland. The babies are back in storage, lulled into sweet sleep for another year.
And guess what I get to drive while in Singapore? A Ford Laser company car. Yes, a Thai-made equivalent of the the Mazda 323 with a 1.6 liter engine (cars are so expensive in Singapore. A brand new Ford Laser costs S$65K = US$48K!).
So, please give your 944, 951 or 968 babies a kiss when you lull her out of her winter sleep. Share a thought for me when you are driving your babies (as I also try my best to coax my Ford Laser into thinking she is a 951 on the streets of Singapore ... it has been a lost cause so far). The family and I are headed on the flight out of Portland in a couple of hours.
Enjoy your spring and summer Rennlist buddies!
