Default 1988 951S for sale.

Had a prospective buyer back out, so this car is now availible to the Rennlist public.

Thought I could take on another project, but the S2 decided to leak all of its fluids. Also, the homeowners association hasn't taken a liking to it.

Here are some details.
Guards Red (Repainted poorly at Maaco)/Tan interior
150k miles
Options:
10 speaker
M030 Suspension
LSD
Split Rear seats
8-way power seats up front (WORK!)
Cruise Control

Would make a good track car, but would be fairly costly to bring back to pristine condition. Currently non-running.

When I bought the car, it had no spark. The wiring was hacked into with an aftermarket alarm. Fixed that, still no spark. Go to test inputs - the car has no DME/KLR in it. Ordered DME/KLR - Still no spark. I'm testing the refrense sensors this weekend - but the car currently doesn't run. Engine is fairly clean - but has an oil leak. Condition of belts unknown - car has been sitting for 2 years.

One wheel is curbed fairly badly - others are in pretty good shape. Tires have good tread - but are in bad shape.

Asking 5500 OBO right now, a bit more if the car is running this weekend. PM me with details. Part of the profits will go to help get Serge back on the road.

Please keep this thread free of "I think your price is a bit high" - Thank you.

She's a little rough, but how often do you see a 951 S for under 8+ thousand?

It would be a partcularly great track car core.

Oh, forgot to throw this in:
First thing I did when I got the car was run a compression test. All cylinders were around 150 psi - with less than 4 psi difference. The internal components of the engine should be in good shape. It did smell of fuel when I pull all the plugs and cranked it. Once the no spark problem is figured out - it should fire right up.

It does happen with a bit of luck -- I came in close at $8.5k.
