You are selling the car, he is buying, sounds like you arent all that interested in selling it. If you were you would get off your a$$ go across town (and I know how far it is I used to live in Coppell and drive to Watauga and often to Ft Worth every day) and take it where the BUYER wants. You dont want to toss him the keys....go with him. Simple fix...though not a "paradigm shift in automotive thinking."

But dont purport to tell sh944 and I that we are wrong for suggesting the buyer go where he is comfortable. The two of us know more about 944s than just about anyone not affiliated with Porsche.

Whatever the case, I have no clue why you need to come here and reply to us. Simply put, either you want to sell the car or you dont, if you do then do what it takes to get it sold.

FWIW, signing as owner without a name is pretty chicken sh*t if you ask me.

If he was sellinga Harley, he'd really get the tire kickers to come out and drive him crazy. Its a niche market, I would think I'd be happy if someone wanted to PPI a 944/951 I was selling. I understand "uncomfortable" , so make arrangements that meet both parties requirements and get on with it, or else either party can feel free to walk away. I don't understand signing on here just to complain about the prospective buyer getting good advice, tho.

Scott, that was so much more diplomatic than I was able to write. Man, I have to work on that.

lol Yeah, it took me a couple of attempts before I hit the "send" key! What the heck, its just the internet, if I let stuff like that get to me, I can't imagine what I would be like when my daughter turns 16...

Just so you all know, he did agree to take the car to Istook's. They are not open on Saturdays, so he agreed that he will take a day off from work in order to bring the car over to Fort Worth for the PPI. I think that is being very fair. Although, its really only about 40 - 50 miles each way IIRC, just seems longer because of the traffic.

That is very cool of him. Since we gave him so much crap I have to give a thumbs up to deciding to let you take it where you want.
