What does the full leather interior option include on our cars? I've heard some about it, but not sure what pieces of the interior are actually leather clad.

Anyone got detailed pictures of their interior that might show what this option looks like? I'd love to see some.

I'm asking because I'm considering some interior changes to my car, but I want to know what I'd be getting into before I start asking further questions.

I believe only the door panels & lower dash panels are leather in the 'full leather' option.

Well I'm no pro, but one of Dad's 944's is all leather including the dash! Very nice.

What about the center console, around the sides?

My 87 NA has what is described on the original window sticker as "Leather Interior" and "Leather seats-front and rear" These options cost a whopping $1,441 and $1,845 (the total of which is roughly what I paid for the whole car a couple of years ago). The seat upholstery is 100% leather including the back of the front seats. The lower parts of the dash are leather, the console (including the cassette lid), the lower 2/3 of the door panels, the arm rests on the door panels, the emergency brake handle and the steering wheel horn pad. I have often wondered how many other 944s have this full leather interior option. I have only seen it one or two other times and always with a black interior.

I think Ian (tarheel) has full leather and Josh is on the way to having it after I sold him a leather dash.

My '87 has the Full Leather option which includes door panels, seats (Front and Rear), center console, lower dash and glove box.

I'm asking because I just got a black set of 968 door panels last week. My current interior is black/tan. I'm really wanting to get a set of factory sport seats. And since whatever ones I get, I'll probably either end up with black, or have to get them recovered, I'm considering changing the interior to all black. Don't know how painful this will be, but a thought I had was to take the existing tan interior pieces (othan than seats/door panels) and recover them if possible in black leather. If I remember correctly, this would primarily include the lower dash panels, and the console.

The carpet, of course, would have to be dyed or changed, etc, etc.

Any thoughts on this?

mine has it. Pretty much leather everything, with these exceptions: Upper Dash, halo around sunroof.

Anyone got pictures of their interior with full leather? If the details can be seen in pics, I'd love to see the difference.

Otherwise, I'll need to go see some of the locals with this option.
