Fourth kid = selling the 951...........

AC
From KLR:
Here's a thread with some very recent comps. $13k seems ballpark for this car, although the non-functioning AC will probably be a hindrence (raises questions like, "why doesn't the seller just fix it? how much could this cost to fix? up to $2000? what else has he not fixed? why?"
Here is why:
The items below were purchased:
225 and 245 tires, cap, rotor, plugs, wires, starter, axle assembly, belts and rollers, fluids all replaced w/in 500 miles
These are far more important to me than AC, if I was worried about AC I would buy a four door sedan.
I said in an previous post that I would fix it if I kept it, but there are about a million mods I would rather put into the car for performance and handling than AC, when these were exhausted or if I suddenly had tons of extra money to throw at a third car while supporting four kids I would fix the AC..........

mulsanne,
Hi, I'm the neighbor Tom is talking about. Your car sounds nice and I am looking for something that is mostly stock. Can you send me any additional pics, info, and/ or records. Also, a VIN# would help so I can run the Carfax.
You're lucky you live all the way in NC, or I would drag Tom down with me to handle the negotiations. Just the other day, I saw him at the front door haggleing with a few girl scouts over 2 boxes of Thin Mints, they had nothing on ol' Tom. That's my man.
Just kidding Tom. I could'nt resist though. I regretfully parted with an '88 Carrera a few years back, but Tom is my 944 guru.
mulsanne - thanks a please email me: nev376@aol.com
Tom - I'll bug you over the weekend with alot of questions.
Thanks again to both.

TY Michelle. Hopefully it will come together. I sold my 88' Carrera 3 years ago, what a mistake that was. In searching for that car, i found the owners were a bit better about the keeping and transfering of records between hands. From the share of 951's I have seen this far, complete records are hard to come buy. Maybe it's poor luck? I'll just have to be patient...
