Default Wheels - Help out a fellow member please!

I'm willing to make a trade of early offset good condition phone dials with tires for your late offset (ANYTHING) wheels with tires that will fit on my 87' 944 turbo. I made a dumb move and did not realize that I was given late offset wheels on the car and a spare set of early offset. The catch is that I am supposed to deliver my late offset phone dials to a buyer tommorow. If you need cash plus the trade I can do that for you too. Please let me know I would like to have my car back on the street at least by next Monday. I am located in Reno, NV and would like to pickup/meet halfway.

I'm here! C'mon let's make a deal.

Let me pose a second question....I've got the rear late offsets on and the tire size is 225/50/R16. I'm at stock ride height with stock suspension. I've pushed down on the car and cannot seem to get an contact between the body and the wheels. So will these temporarily work out ok for me or is there a bigger issue with running early offset wheels on a late offset vehicle?

225/50/16 is the stock rear tire size. IIRC, the only diffrence between early and late offset is well.. the offset. Not sure what problems you'll run into but the tires not to big or anything.

Sorry I can't help with your rim problem thou.

Narrow early offset wheels WILL work on late offset cars. As long as it doesn't rub, there is no problem.

Excellent! I'm off to get some air for the tires so we'll see if they rub.

I do like the deep dish look and the way they sit more flush with the body. I'll have to call up a couple of shops and get some quotes on getting the fenders rolled.

Looks like I should be ok so long as I don't hit any deep potholes.

Wish me luck, I'm off to Sac tomorrow!

I've got a set of chrome-plated late-offset phone-dials in 16x7/8" with tyres I'll trade you for your early-offset phone-dials! I was looking to get a set to try anodizing in a wild color, like that intense violet! I was feeling kinda bad about stripping off a good chrome-plating job just to anodize... so we can do a swap if you want!

THat would be sweet! Apparently the suspension has settled some since last night and on the way in to work this morning I was squeeking over every little rise in the road. Bumps are not really a problem, its when you're speed is over 40mph and you get a quick dip or rise...then I'm just like !

If you're free this weekend we could meet up San Jose. Or if you have something else in mind please LMK. My email is dontcallme944@sbcglobal.net

I really appreciate this offer, and purple would probably be even more pimpin than chrome

I have 15" late-offset P.D.s that will fit your car although they might be a bit small at 15x7 but they have Yoko AVS tires on them with excellent tread left and would be great for auto-x. I'm willing to trade because they're the wrong offset - I need something with an early offset for my car and would prefer to not use spacers (they're too expensive). Let me know if interested.

Depends upon the 15" wheel. The spare wheel is a 15". The 15" PhoneDials will fit but not the 15" Fuchs or Cookie Cutters. The early '85 951 also used 15" wheels...
