We have heated squirters?? How hot do they get? Enough to boil the water coming out??? This has potential to be a weapon....

Yea, they're heated - at least some of them were. Check to see if there are wires going to 'em. I imagine some "constructive voltage adjustment" could assist you. Only the windshield ones are heated though, not the headlight ones. I suspect because spraying heated water / fluid on a cold windshield is unlikely to crack it (tempered glass is very strong) whereas a cold headlight (one not warmed up yet) might shatter.

Yeah when I did it there's only one 90-degree orientation that you can place the bases in and still have the elbow portion of the nozzle assembly clear the bumpers and stuff under there (and have the hoses still reach - I suppose you could remedy that by replacing the hoses with longer ones). Anyway, as far as aiming those things, you're right, they're swivel-able once they're in there, but actually getting something to twist the nozzle around with is a bit difficult - I used a piece of bent wire but it took a while. Finally I got 'em aimed directly at the center of the headlights, but it took some doing. I imagine if you had the official Porsche headlight-washer-aimer tool (available for $99.99 at your dealer) you could twist 'em around at will. What'd be REALLY slick would be a servo-actuated system to aim them remotely, but that'd be a humongous PITA to rig up.

One other reason for the check valves, I think, is that I found that if the pump loses its prime, it's really hard to get it working again. But maybe that's just a consequence of an old pump.

I ran water only in the WW reservior in the 924s for 7 years in SoCal.
