The hood scoop is on the wrong place for a 924, but for a 944 it's in the right place. As my air filter is right under where it's located. Glad you like my car Wes. What is an FS? Next time i won't forget my video tapes. The next event for me is at Altamont Raceway April 21st from 3-10pm. NCDA will be holding drift events every other thursday until October. Altamont Raceway is between Livermore and Tracy on the Tracy side off of 580.

The Tach. (Electric) Just plugs in like any normal tachometer.
Speedo is electric. I had to call autometer and buy a 16 pulse converter hall effect converter. it's a small box that connects to the cable and as it spins it converts it to a readable signal to the speedo. Here is the link for the Hall Effect.

Water Temp Gauge. My mechanic hooked it up near my radiator. I'll take a pic if needed. The car maintains around 190-220 degrees. 220 is when the fans seem to come on. Part # 7155.
Universal Fuel Level Gas Gauge. it's programmable. The gas and temp are C2 guages. Part # 7114.Here is the link.

I'm going to wire up the turn signal LED low gas LED, and High beam LED soon. I just need to look at the stock wiring for the early 944 and figure out what wires they are. It should be pretty easy though.
Hope that helps out!

I'm with Wes on this one. I recognize your car, and I remember you trying to sell it. Wasn't your name Ryan944 or something? And weren't you a rennlist member at some point? Just curious...
PS This doesn't exclude the possibility of Wes being on crack.

It was for sale and I did have some offers on it. But damn it's hard to let go. Someone would schedule a time to check it out and.... i'd always get cold feet. I love this car. When you have a car that's dialed in so well for yourself, sometimes you just can't let go.

CV joints are fine with drifting, it is the launch (not to mention the transmission) that breaks things.
Rage2 has 400+whp on his 951 and drifts w/o problems, his CV's did come off, but that was due for another reason, he stated.

That's cool, ryan...I know what you mean, it's hard to let go. That thing is friggin sweet! I really like the hood scoop, for what it's worth.
Hussam, that's true. I met Rage2 last year, he came out to Vancouver and I saw the beast in person. Apparently, everything has held up fine, including the tranny. He just maintains the car very regularly, because he's a mechanic himself.

your car looks familiar
I think I have seen your car parked down the street from me. You live in Tracy on Jackson avenue? If so step outside your front door look to your right 3 houses down......do you see it???.....Garnet red 944T 3 houses down. Just picked it up on Tuesday.....still learning about it....stop by when you have a chance.

neat pics, great color... looks like tons of fun! This looks like a great use for take off tires from cars that sat a lot. You know, those 245/45 16's that are 10 years old but only have 10K on them. NICE!!
