Default Transmission reseal

As part of my N/A -> Turbo swap I'm working on cleaning up the transmission before I put it in. I noticed that the transmission I got was DIRTY, as in BLACK w/ about 1/4" of gunk & grime on it. I know that the one I took out of my car was relativly clean, and it even had leaking final drive seals.

I imagine the only way for it ot get this bad was for it to at one point have an oil leak. If I'm going to be cleaning it all up, and as long as I have it out of the car....now's the time to fix any leaks it may have.

While I was cleaning it up I noticed that the cooler lines could move "in & out" about 1/8" pretty freely. I also noticed what looked to be the remnant of a rubber seal here (looks like it was patched with silicone bathroome sealer at one point). Any idea on where to get these seals?

Also, is there anything else that would be sensible to replace while it's out of the car....other than the obvious fluid?

Tthe trans seal (#36) I think will have to come from a dealer or a paragon/zims/pelican parts place. They should be able to also get you any other trans seals you need.

Scootin:

I also noticed that the cooler line ends can move in and out freely. Have you noticed any leaks from the ends ever since your tranny install?

Thanks.
