There are 9" Club sports...but I didn't think the d90's were ever made in 9's

I have a set on my '90 S2... 7.5x16 fronts and 9x16 rears. I bought them off a 928 guy. They were stock for his '90ish 928. They have the tire pressure monitoring "pucks" in them, but I liked the way they keep the car looking correct for it's year, but put a little more lip on the late-offset.

I have a pair that were on my S2 Cab, and Will's 951 has them too. They are supposed to be S2 M030 wheels I believe. They may also be found on 928GT's.

7.5" front and 9" rear D90s were standard equipment on MY90 & MY91 951.
Used as well on S2 with M030.
They are slightly different to the 928 S4/GT D90s (different offsets I think).

Here is a little info on Club Sport vs D-90's. Club Sport wheels of 7 inch and 9 inch width were standard on the 1988 turbo S and 1989 944 Turbo (both had the M030 option as standard). Club Sport's look almost the same as the 7 inch and 8 inch wide D-90 wheels from the side. My club sport wheels have cosmetic groves at the bottom of the spokes (the chrome club sport wheel on the Wheel Enhancement web site don't show groves in the picture, so that may depend on the year). I have also heard that the club sport wheels are forged and the D-90's are cast. .

The 928 wheels ('90 S4/GT) have a different Porsche P/N than the '90 944S2w/M030 +'90 951 base rims (Did they actually make any 951's this way?). The offsets are the same for the 7.5" fronts at 65, for the 9" rears it is 52,3. I'm not sure if the 928 number is different because of the addition of the tire pressure monitoring stuff..?

This is what I have learned about these wheels. I do not know about Club Sport wheels. The 88 and 89 Turbo S models had forged alloy wheels with the decoration groove as somebody mentioned. These wheels are similar to the 928 "sewer lid" wheels except they cut out the holes larger for more ventilation. They come in 7.5 and 9 inch widths and the rear has a little different offset, 60mm or something.
D-90s look somewhat alike from the side as far as the spokes are concerned but they are cast and not forged. They came mostly on the S2 in 7 and 8 widths.

I have seen some people refer to the Turbo S wheels as forged D-90s or some other D-90 designation.
