Default Happy Easter - someone backed into my car

At least it's a friend of my parents and they're covering it. They backed into the front/drivers side fender and dented it pretty well. I really don't think the fender is repairable, it had 1/8 inch thick bondo there and the dent is pretty sharp. Pictures didn't come out well because it was so bright this afternoon.

What's the best way to deal with it? I'll need a new fender but don't know if I should find one before or after I find a good body shop (anybody know one in San Antonio? I'm tempted to call up someone in the local PCA). Weren't only the 924S fenders were galvanized? I'd rather have one of those. Color really doesn't matter since it'll have to be stripped and repainted anyway. The car is white, repainted before I bought it so I doubt original would match.

This isn't going to be fun, I've had horrible experiences with bad work from paint/body shops before. Like clear coat going away after a year and paint flaking off a repainted plastic bumper.

Late 924NA's also had galvanized fenders ('78+). Find a fender in white or else get a fender and then go have a shop color match your current color and have a shop blend the color in. White doesn't fade all that much so it shouldn't be hard to match.

Any advice on where to get a fender? Mostly I see people parting out 944s here.

Thanks, PM sent. Hopefully it's straight and not full of bondo.
