Jammers are all snake oil.

I've never seen any test data or reviews of it, but Escort does make a laser 'shifter' that's supposed to be able to slow lock-on time. But as stated, 90% of the time when the laser signal is detected, you've been had. 10% of the time you are lucky enough to catch a reflection of the beam and can slow before you are clocked.

Laser is line of site, and has to be shot from a stand still. So alot of times you should be able to see the cop either sitting in his car, or standing next to it or a bike. Sometimes they might use an unmarked van sitting on the side of the road, at least here in KS they do.

Instant-on or POP is another thing that can get you. It's just standard Ka band radar, but with the gun practically turned off, up until they have you lined up, then they flick the switch and clock you. It's about as good as Laser at nailing you without any warning. You usually only get warning if someone else gets clocked and you pick up the radar.
