We don't have store that specialise nor carry any certain brand/voltage bulbd (such as the #194). These are standard 3w bulbs from the "shop next door". The 5w bulbs i used before kept on burning out, but this was WAY long ago (3 years?) and before i knew a thing or two about the bulbs

DO NOT USE 5 WATT BULBS!!
i learned the hard way, and had to re build one of the sockets. it acutally started to melt and the bulb
lost contact. i don't think they burn out any quicker just run much too hot!
just got mine back together with 3 watt bulbs and new white face gauges.. hopefully i don't have to take it apart again. (3 times last summer) to diagonse why the bulbs were going intermittent..
have fun
buckshot wi.

Buckshot: don't worry, i only use a MAX of 3w on Rehan's car, i have a custom made LED conversion done by the PO. Even after 3+hours of driving, the gauges are very 'cool' to touch, unlike the 5w bulbs i messed around witha few years ago

I just did mine last week & installed
leds as well but apparently it isn't that
bright cost leds have narrow dispersion
characteristics. Will have to mod them &
place the leds right inside the tunnel to
get the pod brightly lid.

J Chen: interesting... I was wondering if anyone thought of using LED's to illuminate the dash. How did you wire in the LED's? And do you have a photo to share?

Any suggestions on where to get White face gauges? And how much they might cost?

Jay: Which LED's did you get? i know this good place that sell drop in LED's (variety of colours). They literally just fit in the same was as the #194 bulbs, and 3w as well.

The key is not on how bright the bulbs is (LED or standard) but how good the tunnels are in terms of reflecting the lights. I am going to chrome spray mine and get "new" LED's since the PO has wires, resistors and a messy set-up (works, looks good but just messy).

A search for "perry951" ends with zip. BTW, I still have a huge roll of the commercial grade aluminized tape. Send me a PM if you want a piece.
