Exclamation Installed the chip!!!! Report!

Alright everyone! I followed the directions i found here- Chip Install w/ pics .

Ok, getting the box out was pretty easy. Getting to the chip wasnt too bad. Putting the box BACK in the car was a NIGHTMARE. I just CANNOT get the lower screw on the Box back in. I didnt want to unsnap those other two cables on the frame, so it was really frusterating. I'll get back in there later. VERY ANNOYING.

So, i took my car for a small run. So far i have noticed the car seems to decelerate a bit quicker when you get off of the gas. The gas pedal feels a little "meatier" almost. I can't comment on how fast it accelerated, cause it moves quick anyways and i had nothing to compare too. I might go for a dyno next week or as soon as i get a chance.

Im curious to see if i can notice any difference on the highway.

Pete, you have the same chip. Has there been anything you have noticed over long term???

Pete recommended me to someone selling these. I am not sure if its a Welt Clone or not. Im actually curious. I really wonder how different they all are though. Lets see...we have the Welt, Steve R., Autothority, the POWERCHIP or whatever, and like one other i think... They have to be similar?? How much different can they honestly make them for the S2?

Ok nevermind! I do not think it can be a Welt clone. Weltmeister does not sell a chip for the 1991 S2.

"944S2 1989-July 1990" Is the only available chip for the S2 through Weltmeister.
