I used a hood scoop of an 85 300ZX Turbo..I put Vaseline on the mounting studs to mark the final mounting location..Drilled the holes,,and then cut a nice square hole in the hood..I still have to wet sand the scoop but this is what it looks like now..

That looks good. Would you have a pic of the whole front of the car with the scoop on it?

seems like by the time you cut the hole and then repaint the hood you could have just fixed the dent and repainted the hood. But im picky about body work.

I was thinking i would be able to avoid painting the whole hood.
