Battery Question
Anyone here want to share what kind of batteries they have in their car?
I need a new one. I was thinking of trying an Optima but does it really make a difference? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Ill be a little different and say i have an AC Delco that the PO had. Battery was stone dead when we got the car. Recharged fine. I left my lights on a couple weeks ago. Came back to a stone dead battery again...jumped it and is still running strong!

i was testing Icesharks kit on my car and ran the battery flat. Now the thing won't take a charge so I need another one.
It only took like 5 minutes and had the battery flat. let that be a lesson to anyone installing the kit. Start car before messing with lights.

Gell cells are nice performers and you don't need to worry about leaking acid. But you better make sure they will fit, not too tall and have a base that will fit our battery hold down. Otherwise you have to mount them sideways and monkey around fashioning a hold down strap.
If weight is an issue and you are not going to have the car in cold conditions you can get down to around 15 lbs with some batteries. But don't even leave your radio on when washing the car.
I'm in cold country and have had good luck with DieHard group 41. A group 40R or 42 would also fit fine as well as some others. Just make sure you don't get over 7" tall and have the positive post on the right hand side.
