I took her in for emissions test today. Just wanted to share the happy news with everyone.

 

I passed emissions with my 1982 Volvo 240 Turbo.

What I don't understand, is how a Volvo with CIS runs cleaner than my 89 S2 with Motronic.

 

Congrats! Has anyone had trouble passing the gas cap pressurisation test? (the gas cap with the lock built into it) Because my pressure test failed and I had to put a generic one on. Put the old one back on later though.

 

Mine has the gas cap with the key...still passed.

 

HAHAHA i dont know if you guys caught my emissions post the other day.

I went up like two days ago and I have the lock/key gas cap like most of our cars. Well...they had to skip it because they couldn't get their mechanism onto it! HAHA. So they just told me to go put it back on and the machine printed N/A on my form and they let it go through.

 

IIRC you also mentioned you had trouble with it because of the lock. I do too. I had to practice locking and unlocking it so I wouldn't feel like an idiot at the gas station.

 

My car goes in for NYS emissions tomorrow if all goes as planned. Im nervous, though i know i shouldnt be! Car runs great, replaced all vacuum lines. Passed Conn. inspection from the PO with flying colors, passed the NYS inspection last year with no issues. I just dont want the nightmare of trying to get my 924S to pass again! Worse comes to worse, i take a ride with my father to Queen's Blvd, he knows a few shops if you catch my drift .

 

i got a 951 87 with the chips up grade the linsey boost upgrade up to 16psi, with a kandN filter. i dunno if it is a 26 turbo by the way it move si think it might be a k27. its so dam fast it whips ur neck back when u tap on the pedal. i dunno is SC has emissions thats were i got the car. does any one know if i pass nys emissions. hahahahhaha Techno Duck i know about the the QUEENS BLVD MECH HAHAHAHA gotta love them. i dont want to drive to queens it like 45 min from my house. do u think it pass emissions.
