Unhappy Visited the mistress over the weekend...

Got kind've depressed, so I dropped by storage to see my wounded love. I must've sat in the driver seat for like 15 min remembering the trip up from MS. Just counting down the paychecks before I start ordering parts for repair and upgrades. Here are a couple pics..not very good ones as they were taken with my HP ipac.

Yeah,lol...'the "mysterious" coolant leak that will NOT go away' as referred to in another thread has found its way to my '44. Actually its due to a busted radiator :-(...ick

Timing belt hasn't gone yet..but needs a head gasket and seal replacement..so going to go ahead and swap the new T.B. and intermediate belts in...along with the new water pump....yeah, its hurt pretty bad...

Still...that's not a bad piece for $3500! You'll love it when you're done.

I had just the head gasket done for $1200 with all cam seals. $5400 sounds high depending on what they are doing...

Yeah..thats through a 944 specialist shop...gien the valves are bent...didnt take the head off to see...so kindve an inflated guestimate. But thats head gasket, radiator, water pump, seals, MAYBE valves...and then Im splurging on a brake upgrade...

Visiting a sick car like that is like a sad trip to the pound knowing your dog is there, feeling ill and neglected...as bad as you want to take her home you just have to wait. I get that way looking at my car after a long spell of foul weather; and mine runs! Keep her warm and remind her she'll be back in the family soon.

By the way...

Did you have to climb out the passenger's side when you parked it, or did you tow/push it in there? Just wondering...

Ryan, the price of the Headgasket is much more on a turbo. There is a lot more plumbing that needs to be taken out.

Dude, feel your pain... but pain is temporary. You'll be having a blast in a few months...
