Wrecksimple got loose with the camera and got some good pics of the autox this weekend. I've got some more I'll put up on the web page.

Hey Jerry, here is a picture of you and Tim starting out.

Here you are finishing a run. Looks like a bit too much body lean there Jerry!

I had a blast riding with Bob in his silver 944. Thanks Tim for suggesting I ride with him. He paid you a complement about your driving ability when we were talking between runs. Who was the winner between you and your Dad???

Fast times of the day while I was there was by a blue stripped 914 and I think I recall a 54 second time. I was impressed with the 912 driver that was consistently at 59 seconds. The GT3 and the new Turbo 911 didn't get below 1:04 while I was there. So it is interesting that driver skill with an old 4 cylinder can beat the new expensive machinery.

Did you hear about what happend to the guy that pulled off. He had the 944 that was the same color as Tim's car. Sounded like a spun rod bearing to me.

I REALLY wanted to go, but I'm still under 18, and my parents are out of town. I'll be doing them all through the summer though. Looks like you guys had fun.

That does look like it was a good day - and 8 runs seems a good amount for the day. I couldn't make it as I was at home looking after the baby as Mum was having a well deserved day out with friends! But hopefully I'll be there next time.

Who won the Jerry/Tim father/son battle?

Tim - I put it down to youthfull reflexes and the fact that he doesn't have to undo 30 years of safe driving habits !

We need more 944's at these - Tim was the only one in his class and there were only 2 in my class. (He is running in Ci and I'm in Di)

I didn't get a chance to talk to him but a Tow Truck came in and put him on the hook.

BTW Me and jerry were both within 10-12 seconds of the best time of the day(of coarse during the fun runs) which i thought was really good for us being rookies

Where is the April 2nd one? I see the 16th and 17th at Santa Rosa on pca-ggr.org. I'll really try my best to be there and bolster the 944 numbers one of those.

Well done Tim - that must have gave you a fair few bragging rights once you got home!! You'll be after those 911s next time.
