Default Spring to attention

I have a concern with lowered front springs.

After changing to Koni sports, the ride height went up about an 2.5cm (1inch). I had some springs made that would supposedly lower the car one inch.
On reasssembly of the strut I notice that springs have next to no tension on them. I can rotate them by hand quite easily.
Will they load up sufficiently once installed in the car?
The last thing you want is for the spring to rotate on its seat during driving.
Is this an issue or is it just my inexperience giving me ulcers?

Note:The free length of the original springs is 37.0cm (14.6")
The free length of the replacement springs is 31.5cm (12.4")

thanks in advance for your help.

You can use helper springs to keep tension on the springs every time you jack your car up.
Although, they will remain in place once the car is lowered.

Stiffer springs are shorter when decompressed. Once installed, it shouldn't be an issue while driving. However you might be able to rotate the spring when you lift the car off the ground.

If the spring is that loose, it can actually become mis-aligned, or slip part way out of the strut when uncompressed, like when the car is lifted up. You can imagine how much of a safety hazard this can be. Helper springs are pretty cheap, otherwise you must have presence of mind every time you lift your car (which I know I don't always have).
