Default Moving to Louisiana

Hey all, well, we are moving for a few years and I was wondering about car reg's in LA. Mostly

-do they check emissions?
-do you have to have a front license plate?
-is there a yearly registration check?
-does anyone know of some good independent mechanics in the shreveport area?

thanks

1. emissions? bwa ha ha. bwa HA HA. BWA HA HA. We don't need no stinking emissions tests.
2. hell no, unless you want to put a confederate flag one on the front like the General Lee.
3. every state has these. the La. one takes about 2 minutes tops, if all your lights wipers and horn work you pass. they don't even look under hood.
4. can't help you there

good to know, test pipe can remain on the wish list. Actually, south carolina has NO yearly registration at all. Lots of cars with bad brake lights...

Jason, look up a user named Macown. He's in Monroe and has several of these cars. I'm sure he can help with a mechanic. If you were closer to New Orleans I could help you more.

Yeah, and a bunch spewing their toxic fumes all over the city. (I lived in Charleston until 3 months ago)
