What options does a 924S guy like me have when wanting a new front valance?

Ooops, I noticed that the nose you're looking for is a little different than the one I was refering to.

Here's the only picture I saved to my HD of his bumper cover. The car was being put back together after a total repaint. He took the cover off in favor of the snub nose look and a lower front valence (not sure where he got the new valence).

I think he didn't like it because there was basically no bumper protection left for frontal impacts. It's pretty much plastic and fenders with the Fiberworks nose.

Heh, ELLSSUU I was all set to suggest the 924 Carrera GT front bumper, and behold you post only the 2nd 944 I've ever seen with one! I think the 924GT bumper is pretty good looking without going to a full 944 Turbo setup, which is much more common. If I ever get to it I'll probably put one of the 924GT fronts on my 944. Of course crash protection is a concern but, not that big of one in my mind.

Check out www.gt-racing.com for some of their fronts. Their prices are pretty good but I think their parts need a little work to fit.

Here's an example of der rennwagen's car with the aftermarket turbo nose, doesn't look bad at all.

Kind of OT....but do you know where he got those rockers from? Those are EXACTLY what I am looking for...

GT racing has them. Look for part #276, they're $290/pr fiberglass or $392/pr for carbon fiber.

Oh yah, I forgot about GT Racing...I'll have to go back there and check it out. I *thought* their valence was similarly priced to the Fiberwerks valence, but it's late, so who knows...must double check.

IMO, the aftermarket 951 nose looks terrible and doesnt flow well with the rest of the car. The GT racing CGT front valence is 430. A lot of money.

The fancy shmancy one is $435 or so, but the stock and stock but 1.5" lower units are only $295...helluva lot cheaper than 944online.com - $450 or something like that. blughhh. So I think I might do GT Racing...maybe....gawd that's still twice as much as used factory units...Who knows. It's late, I shouldn't make a decision now

I have a new FW nosepiece I would like to get rid of. I would take $350 for it. A good deal considering it's never been installed, and all the hardware is there. The only thing used about it is the price. You can e-mail me at Misanthropic@carolina.rr.com

I have to chime in here on this...

If anyone decides on the 951 turbo aftermarket nose MAKE sure it is one moulded by AIR. This is the most accurate version out there and my choice due to the special PP had on it last fall. On my ex-87 944 I had a different version (non AIR) mould and it was just like the photos in the Performance Products catalog and shown in my avitar while autocrossing. Very flat on the lower front and not rounded out just like the 951 factory cover. It even has the batwing shape (on the sides) moulded into the cover! Not good.

My new 951 cover made by AIR is NOT like my old one at all and very much like the factory piece in shape and design. All except where it mounts to the front to fit the NA 8v'er nose. I even have the factory 951 bumper support, shocks and tow ring hook nicely tucked in behind! Fits like a glove. I would imagine that a factory lower batwing AND AIR front splitter are in order soon for me.

BTW, when I ordered my front bumper cover from PP I was surprised as ever when it was this nice and made by AIR. Working in and knowing the parts business (parts are sometimes different than the photos...) I would order direct from AIR if I have to replace this one.

Nickhance...

The nose on that black car is sexxxy!

And I also LOVE the Euro nose.

What are our current sources for European front ends? I am VERY interested in euro Fr/Rr bumpers, not only because they look great, but also because I have heard they are substantially lighter than our US front ends.

Any info on the Euro stuff, please chime in!
