So 3/4 of the people in this thread either didn't know Rennlist even had classifieds or they just couldn't find/view/post in them. Doesn't that sound like a good enough reason to make them a part of the discussion forums instead of tucked away back on the main site?

I'm not trying to pee in anyones cheerios, its just that this is the only forum I've been to that does classifieds this way, and it seems to be rather problematic.

Why not give "traditional" forum classifeds a try and see how it goes? Its not like the world is going to end if they don't catch on or work however they're supposed to. But if they do, then Rennlist will be all the better because of it.

As far as the categories go, it really doesn't matter. Yeah the current classifieds categories are fine, but when I'm looking for a 944, I'm not all that interested in ads for 928s or 911s or 914s. And I want to see both "race" and "street" cars in the same list, as a lot of the "race" cars that people sell are street-worthy. It just makes sense (to me) to break things down by type of car first, then vehicle FS/WTB, parts FS/WTB. Very much like this bimmer board's classifieds...

BTW, when I want to buy/sell a part for my BMW, the FIRST place I look is the classifieds above. I almost never look at rennlist's classifieds. They really don't get a lot of action! Obviously I'd love to see that change.

The 944 parts classifieds gets maybe one ad every day or two or three. The bimmer parts classifieds gets AT LEAST 1 ad every minute. I realize there are a lot more 3 series cars out there than 944s, but I don't think that discounts my point.

Hi ECUdooberhead,

I just sent you a private message with your member number.

For others that are having difficulty viewing the classified link try just disabling your ad blocker for rennlist.com and rennlist org and/or www.rennlist.com/ads/ If that doesn't work - check that your BROWSER settings aren't blocking anything from rennlist.com or rennlist.org... When you hit the right settings - the Rennlist Classifieds will re-appear for you.

What about a discussion forum based classifieds trial? Or is there something special about the way things are now that you don't want to mess with?
