Default Power Steering question

My power steering reservior has been leaking for some time now, and I'm finally sick of it. I was wondering if I could just remove the power steering pump, reservior, etc. I know you can do this with some cars, but with others you cannot. If this is possible, what all would i need to remove to eliminate the power steering system? I realize that I will still have the power rack, which isn't as good as a manual rack, but.... I'm sick of the leak, and plan on replacing my steering rack with a manual one eventually so it doesnt make sense to get a new reservior.

The new reservoirs are less than $35 from your dealer. They replace in just a few min. A couple of hose clamps and you are done.
