Default Anybody know of a good DIY site?

I have a great site for E-36 BMW if anyone needs it. http://www.geocities.com/e36rulz/DIY.html

I know a few people on here have e-36's and if you haven't found this site yet check it out. This site has DIY's for every area of your car. The only reason I have this info is because I went braindead when I made my last car purchase. I found a good 944 but came accross an even better deal on a 93 325is. Don't get me wrong it is a great car and gets alot of comments but it isn't a Porsche I know now how much I want a 944 or better yet need a 944 to be happy. I know about maintenance cost and so on. Believe me you should try to maintain a Bimmer. I won't get price specific and bore you but piece for piece it is as high or higher than a 944. I have had it since fall of 04 and put 2,800 in it to bring up the maintenance that the P.O. neglected. Just makes me sick to get the car and put so much into it and still not be happy with it. So now I have a 1993 325is for sale or trade for a 944.

Now back to P-car DIY sites do any of you have or know of any good sites for DIY projects. I am looking for one to add to my favorites list so when I get my next car I can start wrenching on it myself.

clarks-garage is the best.

thanks for the link. my E36 M3 has been perfect with 101K miles. I do, however, need to repair a minor coolant leak and have the Inspection II done.

I like Zims Autotechnik http://www.allzim.com/ in Bedford (Fort Worth), Texas. They always have competitive prices and they are very friendly and easy to work with. I've heard this confirmed by several Rennlister's, so I think the sentiment is shared among many. They are a great OEM parts source, and they also have a lot of the common upgrades we want. It's the best place for consumables like ATE Blue, brake pads/rotors, oil filters, etc.

It also doesn't hurt that they are 5 miles from my work... dropping by at lunch is a breeze!

Another great option is Paragon Products http://www.paragon-products.com/. They always have a great selection, and they stock lots of specialty stuff for our cars.

Clark's Garage, combined with the factory manuals, should get you through just about any procedue you need to do.

For parts, I always use Paragon. Have always had good prices, and excellent customer service.
