Man i wish my house had a garage. Its the only house in a typical suburban area without. Its also the only one with a 100 foot long driveway. The privacy and parking spaces are nice, just i wish we had a garage! Nothing like working on the car outdoors year round though! And to think...i wouldnt need to constantly carry my tools and whatnot outside everytime i need to do work. And i would have a place to store extra sets of wheels, my old seats...etc instead of using my sisters old bedroom . Her room is officially the spare parts room for my car.

While I am at home my 944 which is my daily driver resides in the garage. During the shcool year in the fall (untill thanksgiving) and the after spring break my car stays outside in the parking lots at my college where i keep my car covered. THe cover protects it from most of the elements. During the harsh winter though up in Ithaca while i am at college my car goes home and hibernates as we get routenly 3 ft of snow (not safe for the 944 also try to keep road salt away from the body *** much as possible).

THe cover is good but does not keep the car dry as when it rains the car gets damp but not soaking and ice can get to the car but it is not as bad with the cover. If you go the rought of getting a cover just never cover the car wet. ALso make sure u get a cover that reaths so if water gets under the cover is can evaporate through it. if the water does not the cover will keep the moisture in which is bad for the body of the car.

Only if her car is cooler than yours.

My baby unfortunately sits outside, gets the car cover when it's clean. Otherwise, it's Alpine White meets Appalachian White.

The TA is more of a daily driver and gets the garage.

The 944 lives in the garage. In fact, the garage is one of the two reasons I bought this house.

The DD, on the other hand, lives in the driveway...

951, 924S, Caprice, Motorcycle, bunch-o-tools, ping-pong table, lawn mower, grill... all in the garage We get snow/ice about 2~3 times/year, so it's really not much of an issue anyway. But, I must admit, the main reason that I bought this house was because the guy who had it built saw fit to attach a 4 1/2 car garage on the backside - with a huge expanse of concrete driveway!

Oh - and not to give you guys up North a hard time, but I rode my motorcycle to work today... it's supposed to hit 82-ish this afternoon (just like yesterday)

No flames though.. I'm originally from NH, so I know what y'all are going through...

OK, first all of our Porsches sit inside during the winter with covers on them. However, in the summer the 911 and 914 sit inside. While Jaime's (this won't be popular on this page) 924S sits outside in the driveway. Hey, but at least it doesn't get driven in the winter. Besides, I saved the 924 from a college parking lot. It is better off in my driveway then in some college lot!
Oh and Matt, thanks for that note about knowing what we are going through, we are getting 8 in. of snow as I write this!

Yeah, I am not really sure why my car gets to sit outside when the 911, 914 and 240 Z get to sit inside. I think he is just putting my car outside so I will cave and let him build his barn that he wants with Matt Romanowski. Boys will be boys I suppose.
