Default Could antifreeze have killed my engine?

Is regular antifreeze alright for our aluminum engines? I think I've heard somewhere that it's not.

You are going to hear that it's not...but it is OK. Check out the Prestone website for a discussion around the effects of very "hard" European water that is germain to your question. Also, I have never heard of a 944 engine failure in the US due to antifreeze issues. If anyone has, please share and I'll apologize and slink off into a corner....
