They could hit the target price easily. The question is, could they hit the target price and still put their name on it. I suspect the answer is no. People like us dont buy new Porsches (well some of us do but not many). We dont fit the target demographic either. For every one of us screaming, it is a sports car, you dont need Navigation. There are 20 more screaming, where is the cupholder. Trust me, we cant win!

Haha! Well put. That's kind of what I was alluding to - I'm not doubting that they COULD sell the cars for that and turn a profit based on manufacturing overhead, but it's more whether they would or not. I agree - I suspect not. I doubt it'd be marqueed as "Porsche" for anything less than 40.

I'd love to be proven wrong on this though - a 300 h.p. new car would be hella fun - especially as a softtop. And as a native turbo, just THINK of the mod possibilities

A kid i work with took out a loan for like 40,000 dollars to buy a WRX. Hes been paying it off for the past 5 years, lives with his mom, he is 24, and his car is about equal in performance to a 951.

Today I was yelling at him and another guy came up and called his car a Suburu Poopmaster lol
