Default Contemplating parting out my 85.5 N/A

Although I prefer the body style of my 944 much more than the 924s I just bought, the 924s is a nicer car. I don't want to keep both. The 944 needs a little more tlc, ie paint, suspension, etc. I think it would bring $2.5k-$3.5k as a whole (if I'm lucky), but maybe much more in pieces, and right now, the $ is the bottom line for me. Basically everything is available and in good shape, except for the windsheild, it has a 6" crack at the lower left, and the PS rack, it needs resealed

The engine has new water pump, belts, rollers, sachs clutch kit, oil pressure sender, oil cooler seals. It runs pretty well, but white smokes a little under load.

I've compiled a list of average prices from ebay and other classifieds of what I think is fair, but I'd like to get some offers to gauge interest in these parts and to determine if my pricing would be desirable.

So, let me know what you'd want and what would be a good price for it.

Thanks.

I completely understand the 924S thing. Consider keeping it whole and selling it as it.
I'll PM you when I get home tonight.

Don't part the car. It's always a shame. Although one less 944 on the road makes my car rarer i hate to see that sort of thing happen. Sell it whole if you can. Parting out a car to actually make more money than selling it whole is a LONG process and VERY tedious.

Agreed, it's a pain in the butt. Don't expect your extra profits to show up for quite a while. Packing and shipping almost makes it not worth it. And I started with a car that was half finished already.

Please consider whom this is coming from. DON'T PART THE CAR!!!!!. There is no need to part a 944 unless it is bent beyond repair. As far as it being worth more in parts than in whole. You are actually about even. If you consider that your car can probley go for around 3500.00, the parts will not add up to that. There are a lot of times when some parts are in demand on e-bay, but a week later, no one else wants the exact same part! Plus take it from someone that has parted 7 wrecked 944''s, you are looking at a ton of time in dis-assemble, then packing it up and getting stuff shipped. Post some pics of the car, you can probley sell it pretty quick. Not trying to burst your bubble, but you don't have more than 3500.00 in parts, like I said, I'm working on my 7th car now.
