3 Wires on positive terminal on early cars?

Does anybody know what the 3 little positive wires are that go to the battery terminal? Its an early car, and im wondering what those extra 3 wires go to.

There are 3 little wires aside from the big positive battery cable? Anybody know?

they go to the car, the large one only goes to the starter.

2 go to the fuse block assembly and one goes to the alternator.

Why would they go to the car? These are not "positive ground" vehicles.

I'm curious about this, too. My car ran fine for months while only two were connected. When I saw the problem and reconnected the third, my battery started draining while not driving. Now I have to pull fuse #7 to keep the battery from dying between drives.

The wire in question is the one closest to the windshield.
