Jason, you have to look in the autocross rules for 2005 for allowable modifications. Shock absorbers that have no more than a single adjustment are legal mods for Production classes. Sway bars of any type may be used as long as they are not adjustable from the cockpit in Production classes. So now you know your M030 sways and Koni Yellows are allowed mods.

Now you go check out the chart in Appendix 5 for your 944 and see if any class legal mods you have would add progression points. The chart shows nothing on shock absorbers or sway bars, so you get 0 points there. The r compound tires give 3 points. So with the mods that you have listed, you have a total of 3 points, in the forth column. You go down to the bottom table on that sheet and it tells you what class you would be in per the number of points in each column. The table says that for P class, 0-5 points are allowed in the fourth column. So you would still be in P class.

Now what we have to figure out is if we are going to stick with the 2004 P classing system or go with the 2005. 2004 rules you would be P6. 2005 you would be P3. The only wrench in the system is we do not have an updated progression chart for 2005, so that may still be in the works.

Dan, If you can get a quick sale out of the Victo's to Crippler....Do it!!!

I have not decided if I want to go that route and I'd never want you to wait on me. If I do decide to go with slicks and you still have the Victo's.....well then I'll buy them.

The schedule is tentative, 5 dates right now, would like to have more, but the usual sites are pretty booked except for the pay lots. Starting on March 6th at Scarlet and not another event until June, that is unless all of you guys want an Easter event and can convince the wifey that Easter autox's are ok.

There was only one Saturday open this year at Scarlet and it is taken. All of the other free lots are not available that I now of and I think we will be stretched already on our pay lots this year. There is an outside chance of another "lot" that I am going to be checking out this Saturday. Lets hope that we can secure for a "free" price....
