I'll e-mail a couple other local 944 guys I've met NOT on the boards to see if there may be interest.

Carl mentioned a possible DME repair workshop- It's an indoor activity, I'd be happy to resolder one and pass the knowledge torch along (I have 3 to work on )

Any possibility of pumping my CV's full of grease to quiet them down? Shouldnt take long.

The grease gun I set up to do CVs keeps blowing the hose apart, it's a beeotch to mess with. I did mine and gave up after greasing 2 joints on the driver's side, I'll get to the pass someday with more patience.
