How do you remove the front wipers? ![Big Grin](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
the rear is easy, lift that retaining clip and the wiper slids out. I broke the front wipers on my NA for being too agressive and not knowing how......
don't make fun!!!

At the bottom (iarge end) of the wiper arm there is an oblong shaped thin plastic cap. Pop that off and there is a nut on the end of the shaft. Remove that nut and the arm comes off.
For the blades, on most there is a squeeze clip, prolly similar to the one on the rear. However on some, the rubber refill blades are not removable and you have to replace the entire blade mechanism from thr arm.
The best directions come with the replacement blades.
Do this really quick, then delete this thread.

Replacement refills- get the next longer size and cut to length. I got replacement refills and they were about 14" too short and kept working thier way off one side of the blade.
This is one of those cases where buying the best (most expensive refills about 14$) is the best idea.

Hacksaw and a pair of bolt cutters works well.

Whatever you do place a huge beach towel under the arm, and put the arm down on it -while you change the blade!!
Dumb but true. I was changing the blades once on my 86 na and put a thin towel down...yes I had the arm up. A small gust of wind comes by and blows up my towel and wouldn't you know it, in that nano second, while I had removed the blade, put on the new clip, and was about to put on the new wiper blade the spring let go! Down comes the arm like THOR'S HAMMER
That sickining thud still echoes in my mind....a small spider. Which I did my best to get fixed immediately....to no avail...the next warm day(here in Texas that can be any second) that baby spread like San Andreas.
USE A THICK TOWEL!!!
Amazing how $20's in wipers can cost you $600 in windshield that you know once replaced will never really have been done to factory specs.
