You know, I gotta agree with Joe. While it would take a TON of time and money to get it there, a Tifo RS/ track special with a 3L/ 5sp. would just rock! No bull****, if the guy was local I'd have to call my friends just to talk me outta this $200 project pile.
Granted, I'd be REALLY sure to line up the availability of a 3L and a 5sp, but seeing as how I'm still apartment bound, I know it wouldn't be the thing. BUT, got a garage, you're local, handy with the tools, maybe even some buds willing to throw parts and the coin at it? Bingo; track car. Hell, drop the 5 speed in behind a used 8V, get the suspension/ brakes up to snuff, gut and start trackin' it right away. THEN get the funds and parts squared up for the 3L RS tricks...

NOS in an automatic. Enough said.
Anybody here ever driven an auto 944? Its UNBEARABLY slow, slower than my minivan. Absolutely wretched experience if you are used to a normal gearbox and acceleration that won't put you to sleep.

faithless - The only NOS this car has seen are the horrid floormats.
Someone buy this heap in the Provo/Salt Lake City area that has a garage.
I know that I would buy the hood (if it's not damaged) as well as a couple other misc things.... I am pretty sure that Steve would buy at least one of the cookies. As soon as the vultures finish it off you could give it to a junk yard and have a little $$$ in your pocket. I would come and pull my own parts, and even pick up the cookie if Steve wanted it
