Default Man it's cold!! Yep it's OT, but Porsche related.

Well, I just came in from starting the 924S to warm it up. It's 5 degrees here.

It didnt want to start until the 5th turn, coughed a litttle but after 10 seconds settled right in at 1100 rpm (Normal till operating temp is achieved, then drops to 900- I'ts done this scenario at 10 degrees and colder for years)

Now, how to get the frost off of the INSIDE of the hatch The defroster and heat (while both exemplarary)didnt thaw the hatch out until the sun hit it and it warmed up to 17 yesterday. I wiped off the inside moisture with a glass cloth when it melted in the afternoon- but there is still moisture in the cabin from the 5 days of torrential downpour rain LAST week.

It's so cold the defroster lines allow enough vision to see behind but not completely clear the window.

I suppose it could be worse.

Sorry Anders, I know it's OT- so if this gets moved- so be it.

Yeah, it's freezing on this end of the computer, too. Fortunately, I got to sleep in because we have a two-hour delay. One of the nice things about working for the schools.

The Miata isn't going to wake up, though. I haven't figured it out, but when it's <20F, it'll die at the end of the street if I don't let it idle for a few minutes. Must be that CAI...

BB.

It's -2 here right now. My pathfinder fired up like a trooper.....er, I mean pathfinder.

In an attempt to keep this on topic, this is the current state of my p-car. So it shall be until it warms up and the salt is cleared from the roads by some good Ohio rain.

Chris does your car have working AC? If you turn the AC on (with the temp on hot, obviously) it does help do de-humidify the inside of the car.

Tifo, I like the "guard cat".

yeah.. and the heat stopped working in the acura 2 days ago. this is a fun winter

to keep it on topic, the heater boxes in the 912 would be better than what i have right now. (and anyone who knows these old heater boxes... well you know what i mean pete).

I disconnected it. AC wasnt recharged with freon(Oiled and pressurized tho) after the new compressor went in.
Edit. Tranny is too cold. Put it into reverse and she moaned loudly and moved very slowly- so she will sit today.
The toll:
Porsche, runs but worried about how the semi-solid ATF wil damage internals.
Toyota, Starts- no heat.
Buick, No start.

So - It's carpooling in the rental car.
