I sort of know a guy who is participating, I think it is insane. Regarding the street racing threads we've had recently I doubt that anyone would be interested.

Oh, and to be competitive the guy I've met a couple of times is installing a 400 liter fuel cell in his 930 with almost 800 hp.. You will need a pretty bad *** 951 to even try to keep up.

I hope no outsider will be killed during this event, because the likelyhood of someone crashing badly is kinda big.

Um, so this is REAL?? Lemmie get this straight. You have to hand over your car for shipping? Um, sounds a little shady to me, man. The event organizer's clear 1 million after the purse of 2 million. That 1 mil is suppose to cover shipping for 100 cars plus airfare and lodging for 100 drivers? (sniff sniff) Ayup. Smells like bullpuckey...

Maybe Danno, but I highly doubt if you've got guys sending cars from here and there. Five star hotels and meals are bragged about on their site, too (being in the restaurtant biz, I can tell ya that stuff ain't cheap). Free booze, free this, free 3-camera digital hookup to your car, etc. Just sounds a little like bull**** to me. Afterall, if it's too good to be true...

Is there a gumball rally this year? Is this the gumball,, or a different one? I didn't hear anything about a huge entrance fee for that, nor did I hear about any real prize like that before a trophy for fun... Gumball had it's own movie too...
