Watching Speed early!Why are Euro shows so much better??
I wish american TV would produce shows as good as Top Gear/ 5th gear !!!
Even tuner tv is all about import or muscle and all cheese and bling....I mean we are mostly american here........Rennlist let's make our own show!!!!!!!

It seems like the US shows are too busy blowing sunshine up the carmakers a$$es to ever say anything negative. I think there may be more car shows in the U.S, so the shows have to beg cars from the manufacturers, rather than the manufacturers WANTING to get on the shows.
Top / 5th Gear seem to have a solid enough reputation that they can afford to burn cars and still have manufacturers supply them - the benefit of a good review from the Gears is worth the risk of a bad one.
I've NEVER seen a US show actually HATE a car - they all have good points and bad points, and there is very little editorial content.

i agree most US shows always have something good to say...i'd rather hear the bad then nothing but hyped up crap...cuz thats all that we usually get in the US anyways...atleast top gear tells it like it is...they love cars and they judge them on overall character...interior/exterior/motor...the last episode they even dissed bimmers and they've done the same w/ mercedes/vw/audi/porsche...and in the same breath they say the truth about american cars...they might be fast but the motor is huge and the interior almost always lacks...
but back to subject...top gear is a great show w/ great hosts...u can always relate to atleast one of them...and they've all try to take a different side on things which also makes the show great
on the other hand i absolutely HATE the 5th gear episodes i hate both tiff needle and that other guy...they annoy me...it just seems like they tried to spin off top gear w/ newer people that would relate to kids more...but it just annoys me to no end...their track is weak and they don't really do anything fun like top gear does....

That Tiff is a bad-*** driver. I catch snippets of 5th gear while getting ready for work some days. It is fun to see them blast cars as "absolutely horrendous," and their description of the Aston Lagonda's stylling and steeering wheel as "just stuuuupid" in English accents was hilarious.
