I was gonna buy this, but i screwed the guy due to things out of my control.

Too bad he's not closer to L.A. - that could be a good engine candidate for my project. . .

Actually if anyone up in that area is interested, I'll go in on it with you in exchange for the engine and a couple of other little things - the rest would be yours to part out as you wish.

I was going to tow it with my uncles truck. Which is free minus the gas. However, it's not insured. If i have to pay for towing, im over my budget.

No 944 is worth giving your family problems.

I could use my AAA to tow it - is it within 100 miles? I'd be willing to do it for a few parts (including the engine).

Serge, I live in Santa Rosa. Don't really have room for it, but I could call him and take a look. Can you give me more details ?

Damn fellas, i would jump all over that if it was closer. Somone could make a little money with a little elbow grease, and even if the car is in absolute crap condition, you will still make pretty good money parting it out.

Brad, if you buy it I'd love to buy the rear hatch from ya. I would have bought it myself if I had room (i live in the city and have a two car garage, and four cars right now. )

That's the only reason I'm not in the "part out" business like a few other people around here - I just don't have the space to do it.

Hey guys - well, there's closure. Just contacted the seller and he said "I just sold it !"

Someone got a deal, hopefully a fellow Rennlister !

Too bad, as the seller was 5 miles from my place.

Serge,
Sounds like if the car is already sold you would have shown up and come home empty handed. Did you actually call him and cancel or did he sell it anyway breaking a verbal agreement? Sorry I could not help you out on this one but I'm out of town all week and have to finish up some home business before I go.

Wow, my 924S with blown timing belt was $500. That's the first one of these I've seen go for under 500...

Sorry Serge, I misunderstood you this morning. I thought you had told him you couldn't buy it, so when he told me it was sold, I assumed to someone else. Let me know if its too late to call him back.
