1984 944 cruise control location

My cruise control doesn't work any more and I thought i'd resolder the control module. I can't seem to find it. Any help??

On early 944s it's under the center console behind (or in front of, really - relative to the orientation of the car) the stereo. It requires removal of exactly six screws - phillips. Very easy.
Stick your head down in the driver's side footwell and look at where the center console meets the dash. There's a small panel there, kind of triangular shaped held by four screws - remove that panel and you'll see the silver box (cruise computer "brain" with a plug harness on it. Pop the harness off and undo the two screws that hold it, pull out. That's it. Takes all of five minutes.
