Use a plane short enough so that the frame can be within the body instead of riding on top of it, do a better job of removing the wings (who knows, keep the tail if it's not too high), and incorporate as much of the instrumentation and flight controls as possible and you have a good concept. Unfortunately they did none of this.

edit: is that an above ground swimming pool ladder in the second picture?

That thing must have a hell of a blind spot when you are changing lanes or turning.... if they can ever get it road worthy. After seeing that, I think anything is possible.

On the road, yes. "Worthy", nope. Not from the look of it. I don't even think the craftsmanship on that thing is "dump-worthy".

There could not be a "runway 80" - runway numbers are derived from their magnetic heading or alignment (North = 360 degrees, East = 090 degrees, etc.) rounded off to the nearest ten degrees with the last "0" dropped. Thus a North-South runway would be runway "36" when operating to the north or runway "18" operating to the south (same piece of pavement). Just a little trivia for you non-aviation types. . .

You could have a runway "08" that would be oriented at slightly-north-of-east at any magnetic heading from 075 through 084, inclusive though.

You know, personally, I have to side with Tim on this. That would ROCK if done properly. I look at that and see a dozen drunken friends trying to float the keg in the "party lounge." Install a rocking system, some cool lights, and a stage with a pole and you've got a mobile booby bar. Neccessity is the mother of all invention, eh? I guess ya gotta BE one to understand one. Redneck, that is (although I'm sure the same rule applies for strippers as well).

Sorta reminds me of all the goofy cars/ trucks/ creations 'Car & Driver' always print. Y'all oughta check out the Houston Art Car Parade if you wanna see some REALLY goofy ****. That ole '72 Buick Armadillo Special was one helluva machine in its day. Yeaaaah doggie!
