Congratulations P-Car944! Yes, I hear my babies calling for me every day, as well! It's a good problem to have, I tell you. Best of luck, and you have definitely come to the right place to share your Porsche passion and to recieve help when needed. Enjoy that morning drive!

" how does your P-Car like the South African summers?"
So far so good, I have all but the front glass tinted, that helps, and I use a sun visor in the front when parking in the sun which I try avoid... Air con works very well and other than that I'd rather live in the heat than have to pack it away for half the year. :-)

thank you all, I'm moving from Audi but my dream car has always been a Porsche ever since I lived in Germany and fell in love with a forest green 77' 930. I day I will own a 930 but until then my 84' chipped 944 (black on black) will serve me well.

Hey, Good deal!
Watch the ice and possible snow on the way in Seattle.
I'd hate to read a post about black ice. In my experience, the confidence that the car gives in dry conditions suckers you in during the winter.

Congratulations and welcome!
Nothing like that feeling of finally, actually having that first Porsche! P-car enthusiasm is some sort of a disease that I don't think has a cure!

Hope it doesnt snow alot here in the Seattle area because I really want to drive the Porsche over the Audi but the Audi is a turbo quattro and its great in the snow but the feeling I get when I drive my first P-Car is breathless.
