These pics should give a better idea of what's going on in back:
http://www.924.org/models/CarreraGTS_GTR.htm

This in particular shows very clearly that there is an extension downward to meet the bottom portion behind the rear wheel - just look outboard of the air jack!

It also shows what I'm talking about regarding the fuel filler.

This shows pretty clearly how the front attaches:

Also note the 935 style side mirrors and near absence of boxed rockers.

I agree about the rear blanking plate, we'll have to do those too for my setup.

I'd recommend 16" rims (that's what I'm going with), the better to upgrade brakes later...

definitly needs some bigger wheels eventually, these will work until then, at least for sizing and offset purposes..They are two piece, maybe he could have some cuztom outers made to enlarge them.

So, I've often wondered what happens to the original rear fender lip once you stick on those or any other fender flare. Do they get trimmed off to allow wheel clearance or what? Pictures?

the rear of those cars is awesome!
the open spot makes it look like some kind of high end race car.......which....it is. lol.

yeah you pretty much have to cut the quarter out to match the inner wheelwell. I like the look, some dont. I kinda think it looks like the 917 style.

take a look at Doug Arno's "Customer's Cars"

http://www.vehiclecraft.com/pictures...hong/index.htm

for what it's worth quite a while back I bought a set of boxed rear fenders on Rennlist from a guy out near Pittsburg, he cashed the checked and then disappeared. If anyones interested I'll get the name for you, unfortunately I don't have my records on this computer.
